Quartering Act & Stamp Act
The Quartering Act forced colonists to house British soldiers. Soldiers were sent to protect the Proclamation of 1763 and secure obedience from the colonists. Britain sought to recover financial losses from the French and Indian war with the Stamp Act. The Stamp Act taxed all paper goods. As a result, colonists boycotted paper goods and became increasingly frustrated with British rule.
